  1. Jane Austen, who was born in Steventon, Hampshire on December the 16th 1775, is one of the most beloved writers in English literature. She was educated at Oxford and at the age of 12 she began to write poems, stories and plays of her own to amuse her family. Between 1793 and 1795 Austen wrote a short novel which she named "Lady Susan". The novel was about woman who used her intelligence and charm to manipulate, betray and abuse her victims. She has also written the novels "Sense and Sensibility", "Pride and Prejudice" and "Emma". A strong influence in her writing was Samuel Johnson (1709-1784), they both wrote about moral issues. Jane Austen died on July the 18th 1817.

    Was an English novelist whose works of romantic fiction. Jane was born 16 December 1775 – 18 July 1817. She was educated primarily by her father and older brothers as well as through her own reading. She had six brothers and one sister. Her sister died like Jane, died unmarried. Jane earned her a place as one of the most widely read and most beloved writers in English literature.

    Hampshire... She was the seventh of eight children.
    Jane began writing at a young age her nove
    (Love and Freindship [intentional misspelling of Austen]), she wrote as early as 1790
    Between 1795-1798, she wrote the first versions of three of her novels. However, she published her first novel until 1811: Sense and Sensibility.
    All of her books set in rural surroundings, in the English aristocracy, and she had an amazing ability to describe people and different situations in everyday life with sophisticated irony. She died on July the 18th 1817.

  5. Jane Austen, a brittish author well known for her burlesque and ironical novels about love and social relations, was born in Steventon, Hampshire in 1775. She was well educated, even though she was mainly tutored at home. She began writing as early as 1787. The main characters in Austen's novels always end up married. A good example is "Pride and Prejudice" in which the relationship of Elisabeth Bennet, the daughter of a country gentleman, and Fitzwilliam Darcy, a rich landowner is written about. It starts as dilike but in the end they fall in love and are married. Austen completed the early version of Pride and Prejudice in 1797 but then she called it "First Impressions". After her death Austen was buried in Winchester Cathedral in 1817.

    One of her more popular works was Sense and sensibility aswell as Pride and prejudice.

  7. Jane Austen was born on 16 December, 1775, at the rectory in the village of Steventon, near Basingstoke, in Hampshire.
    At the age of 14 she wrote her first novel, Love and Freindship and then A History of England by a partial, prejudiced and ignorant Historian, together with other very amusing juvenilia. In her early twenties Jane Austen wrote the novels that were later to be re-worked and published as Sense and Sensibility, Pride and Prejudice and Northanger Abbey.
    Jane Austen had contracted Addisons Disease, a tubercular disease of the kidneys. Tragically, there was then no cure and Jane Austen died in her sister's arms in the early hours of 18 July, 1817. She was 41 years old.

She was a very well educated young lady even though she was home tutored. Her favorite poet was Cowper and she looked up to him and admired his way of thinking. She started writing at an early age in 1787. At that time she was a shy girl who wrote about the daily life of her family and friends. Both Jane and her sister Cassandra remained unmarried until they both died. Some of her very famous novels are “ sense and sensibility”, “pride and prejudice” and “emma”. Jane Austin focused on middle-class provincial life with humor and understanding. She dies in 1817 only 41 years old.

She started to write very early, but were very shy about her work. Her father saw great potential in her and tried to help her find a publisher. Jane Austen never got married, but she had suitors and romantic dreams. She wrote many novels such as "Emma", "Sense and Sensibility" and "Pride and Prejudice". She died in 1817.
